Abstract
The aim of this research was to present a structural-interpretive model for the development of virtual media of professional sports clubs in Iran with a grounded theory approach. This study is considered to be applied in terms of its purpose and field in terms of its data collection method. The research method was qualitative and based on data-based theory with a Charms constructivist approach. The statistical population included professors of sports management and researchers in the field of sports media, who were selected as key informants using purposive sampling and theoretical saturation techniques, using 20 experts as key informants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and focus groups. Data analysis was performed using open, axial, and selective coding. Subsequently, the structural-interpretive modeling (ISM) method was used to explain the relationships between the components. The results of the study showed that components such as improving social hope, social mobility, cultural and social stimuli, cultural similarities, sociability, improving ideas, and creating a platform are key factors in the development of virtual media in professional sports clubs in Iran. The presented model provides a deeper and structured look at the role of virtual media in professional sports in the country and, by emphasizing global values and philosophies, emphasizes the importance of integrating media development with ethical and cultural principles in sports activities. This framework can be used as an effective guide for policymakers and club managers in promoting virtual and social communications.
