Scientific Journal of Sport Management Knowledge (JSMK) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the University of Tabriz. The journal is committed to the advancement and dissemination of rigorous scholarly research in sport management and related fields. JSMK provides a scholarly forum for researchers and academics to disseminate original research findings and contribute to the development of knowledge and evidence-based perspectives in sport management.

The journal maintains a rigorous double-blind peer-review process for the evaluation of submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts are assessed with particular consideration given to their originality, scientific significance, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, and relevance to the scope of the journal. JSMK is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, research ethics, editorial independence, and responsible scholarly publishing.

JSMK received its publication license under Registration No. 88800 on 13 September 2021 from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The journal commenced its publication activities in 2023, with its first issue published in electronic format by the University of Tabriz.

In the 2024 evaluation conducted by the Commission of Scientific Publications of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, JSMK was awarded Grade B. The journal is also registered in the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), where its official bibliographic and publication information is available.

Article Processing and Publication Fees

Author Notification

The Scientific Journal of Sport Management Knowledge (JSMK) hereby informs all authors that, pursuant to the resolution of the Scientific Publications Commission of the University of Tabriz, article processing and publication fees will be applicable to manuscripts submitted to and accepted for publication in the journal, effective July 2025.

Accordingly, authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication are required to pay the applicable article processing and publication fee through the designated online payment system of the University of Tabriz. Payment must be made in the name of the Scientific Journal of Sport Management Knowledge (JSMK), and the corresponding payment documentation must be submitted through the journal's online submission system.

Payment of the applicable fee is required for the completion of the publication process and the subsequent production and publication of an accepted article. Payment does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or the scientific evaluation of manuscripts. Editorial decisions are made independently on the basis of the academic quality and scientific merit of the submitted work.

Important Information for Authors

Authors are required to prepare and submit manuscripts strictly in accordance with the journal’s Author Guidelines and Manuscript Template. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s formatting and submission requirements may be returned to the authors for technical revision prior to editorial consideration.

At the time of submission, authors must complete and submit all required declarations and forms, including the Author Commitment Form, Conflict of Interest Declaration, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Declaration, where applicable.(click)

All submitted manuscripts may undergo similarity screening as part of the journal’s research-integrity procedures. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work, appropriate citation of sources, and compliance with accepted standards of academic integrity.

This journal is following of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards in accordance with ethical laws.

All articles published by JSMK are available free of charge through the journal’s official website. Readers may access, read, and download published articles without subscription or payment, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, originality, ethical compliance, and integrity of their submitted manuscripts.

Digital Archiving, Copyright, and Publication Policies

To support the long-term accessibility and preservation of the scholarly record, articles published by JSMK are made available through recognized academic databases and digital repositories, including ISC, Google Scholar, SID, Magiran, and Noormags, where applicable.

Copyright and intellectual property rights of published articles remain with the authors, subject to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

In accordance with the regulations of the Commission of Scientific Publications of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, JSMK applies an annual limit to the publication of articles by the same authors. Accordingly, the journal does not accept manuscripts from authors who have two or more articles simultaneously accepted or under active publication consideration, in accordance with the applicable regulations.

To promote editorial independence and diversity of authorship, JSMK also complies with the relevant ISC requirements regarding institutional and editorial authorship. Accordingly, no more than 25% of articles published annually may be authored by researchers affiliated with the journal's sponsoring institution, and no more than 10% may be attributed to the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, or members of the Editorial Board, in accordance with applicable regulations.
