[English]

Sports tourism, as one of the key sectors of the tourism industry, requires effective collaboration among the sports, tourism, and other related stakeholders. This study systematically examines sports tourism using a systematic review approach. To conduct this research, 30 peer-reviewed academic articles published in reputable English-language journals between 2001 and February 2023 were selected based on predetermined criteria. The key concepts of the reviewed articles were coded and categorized. Data analysis led to the identification of 40 key concepts, among which sports tourism, collaboration, coordination, and sports events were the most frequently used. The findings indicate that sports events play a significant role in the development of sports tourism, serving as a mediating factor in attracting tourists and enhancing intersectoral collaboration. This study emphasizes the importance of sustainable and well-planned cooperation among stakeholders in sports tourism. The research findings can assist policymakers and executives in developing appropriate strategies to strengthen effective collaborations and facilitate the sustainable development of sports tourism. Additionally, the results can help researchers identify emerging trends in this field and develop practical models to improve the performance of sports tourism.
